The whiskey is aged in new charred American oak barrels for three years, absorbing rich flavors of vanilla, caramel and mildly tart black cherry notes. This aging process gives it a unique character, as it’s also aged for 9-12 months in Napa Valley, California in medium toast French oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. This secondary aging process gives the whiskey a copper-brown color with a cabernet red hue, adds vanilla characteristics, and gives it a silky mouthfeel. The result is a rich and luxurious bourbon that exudes deep flavors of vanilla and toast, followed by notes of crème brûlée, and a long and complex finish with hints of spice.
